Tube Bender (Swing Shift)

Ichor Systems, Inc. is seeking a Tube Bender to support production operations here in Fremont, CA.

The Tube Bender is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining tube bending equipment to manufacture high-quality components in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and production schedules. This position ensures parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and safely while meeting quality and productivity standards.

Temporary Assignment: Temp-to-Hire opportunity with potential for permanent employment based on performance, attendance, and business needs.

Swing Shift - Monday through Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Shift Differential – 10%

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual, semi-automatic, and CNC tube bending machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Verify material specifications and dimensions prior to production.
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using measuring instruments such as calipers, tape measures, height gauges, protractors, and angle finders.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Change tooling, dies, clamps, and machine fixtures as required.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment, tooling, or product quality issues.
• Record production data and maintain accurate manufacturing documentation.
• Utilize ERP or shop floor systems to track labor and production activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of tube bending, metal fabrication, machining, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience operating CNC tube bending equipment is highly desirable.
• Medical device, aerospace, or precision manufacturing experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of tube bending processes, tooling, and materials.
• Proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues.
• Basic computer skills and experience with manufacturing software systems preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC tube bending setup and programming experience.
• Experience with stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, or specialty alloys.
• Forklift certification.
• Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience.

For candidates in California: The pay range for this position is $24.09 - $40.96 per hour. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
