Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques, to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data. The Ultrasonographer maintains and calibrates equipment, records tests results, and updates patient records for referring physicians.
Education:
Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training or Completion of an accredited Ultrasound program.
License/Cert:
American Registry of Diagnostic Sonography Registry.
1 Specialty Registry: Either 1 General Active and Unrestricted A.R.D.M.S certification OR 1 Active and Unrestricted A.R.D.M.S/ CCI-RCS certification in Vascular or Cardiac US.
