Motive International (www.motiveinternational.com) is not like most Federal contractors. We are a social enterprise with a hybrid for-profit/not-for-profit business model focused entirely on a mission to mitigate global conflict and instability. We implement programs and deliver innovative, technology-enabled solutions to public and private sector clients and conduct pro-bono impact initiatives all around the world that help make societies more peaceful and prosperous. Our small team is comprised of passionate, world-leading experts and motivated professionals who believe deeply in our mission and values. We are a certified 8(a) and Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) based in Washington, DC, with a reputation for excellence, integrity, and fearlessly pursuing our mission.
Opportunity: Motive International (www.motiveinternational.com) is seeking to immediately hire two full-time mid-career Unified Action Partner Exercise Support subject matter experts (“UAP SMEs”) to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, supporting the U.S. Army’s Mission Command Training Program (MCTP), which runs the Army's large-scale Warfighter Exercise (WFX) series. Adding realism and real-world insights during the exercise/scenario design and exercise execution phases, UAP SMEs bring essential "civil domain" expertise in one or more of the following areas: Diplomacy/Foreign Policy/Foreign Affairs; Humanitarian Assistance/Refugee Operations; Intelligence; Civil-Military Operations.
Ideal candidates have served in or with implementing partners supporting one or more of the following organizations: U.S. State Department, USAID, UN agencies, international NGOs, national-level intel agencies such as the CIA, NSA, DNI, or other foreign service agencies such as USDA or Dept. of Commerce. Candidates should have familiarity with or a strong interest in understanding and supporting military exercises.
While based at Ft. Leavenworth in a military HQ, this job involves extensive travel, including CONUS and OCONUS, to participate in up to 6 live exercises per year, each involving 10-15 days of travel.
This is not a "role player" position. UAP SMEs play a significant part of designing and developing scenarios in concert with a large interdisciplinary team, supporting full exercise lifecycle tasks from planning through execution and assessment. This may include occasional role play elements, but the role is best understood as an exercise design/planning role.
We're looking to hire 2 qualified candidates as soon as possible. Seriously interested candidates should submit this application right away:
