We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Unit Manager (RN or LPN) to join our clinical team in the Florence, SC area. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between bedside care and facility administration. You will lead a team of nurses and CNAs to deliver exceptional care to our residents. [1, 2]
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor floor nurses and CNAs, fostering a collaborative and supportive unit environment.
Resident Care: Oversee comprehensive resident assessments, monitor changes in conditions, and actively participate in the development and modification of individualized care plans.
Compliance & Auditing: Ensure that the unit operates in strict compliance with state and federal regulations. Conduct routine clinical audits and maintain accurate medical documentation.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for physicians, residents, and their families, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of services.
Duties Provide expert supervision and coordination of nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient care aligned with facility policies and healthcare standards. Oversee comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to inform individualized care plans. Manage medication administration, IV infusion procedures, catheterization, tube feeding, and other complex clinical tasks with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Ensure accurate medical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems; maintain detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of South Carolina.
Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of nursing experience in a long-term care (LTC), skilled nursing (SNF), or rehabilitation setting.
Valid RN/LPN license with current registration; prior supervisory or nurse management experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility is required. Demonstrated expertise in medical-surgical nursing, geriatrics, dementia care, and acute pain management. Strong background in patient assessment techniques including vital signs monitoring, injection administration, and sterile technique. Leadership skills demonstrated through supervising nursing staff; ability to foster teamwork and professional development within the unit. Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: Highly competitive, typically ranging from $35.00 to $45.00+/hour based on experience and credentialing.
