The Public Affairs Representative — Corporate Communications is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of clear, consistent, and professional communications to employees, customers, media, business partners, community stakeholders, and other external audiences. This position supports corporate messaging, executive communications, internal communications, media relations, public announcements, and organizational reputation initiatives.
Support the development and execution of corporate communications plans and initiatives.
Draft, edit, and distribute corporate announcements, press releases, newsletters, statements, articles, talking points, and other communications materials.
Develop clear and consistent messaging for internal and external audiences.
Support executive and leadership communications, including speeches, presentations, briefing notes, talking points, and leadership messages.
Coordinate internal communications regarding organizational initiatives, business updates, policies, programs, and important announcements.
Support external communications with customers, business partners, community organizations, media, and other stakeholders.
Coordinate with departments to gather accurate information for corporate communications.
Ensure communications are consistent with approved corporate messaging, brand standards, policies, and organizational objectives.
Support media relations activities by preparing background materials, media responses, briefing documents, and talking points.
Respond to routine corporate communication inquiries and route sensitive or complex requests to appropriate leadership.
Monitor news coverage, social media, industry publications, and other communication channels for topics relevant to the organization.
Prepare media-monitoring and corporate communications reports for management.
Support corporate events, employee meetings, town halls, conferences, community events, and other communication activities.
Coordinate communication materials, presentations, signage, announcements, and other content for corporate events.
Assist with crisis and issues communications by supporting established communication plans and preparing approved messaging.
Maintain corporate communication calendars, contact lists, media databases, stakeholder lists, and communication records.
Manage and maintain archives of corporate announcements, press releases, executive communications, newsletters, photographs, and other communication materials.
Support corporate websites, intranet pages, newsletters, social media, and other digital communication platforms.
Assist with employee engagement and internal communication initiatives.
Research corporate, industry, community, and stakeholder developments relevant to communications planning.
Prepare presentations, reports, briefing documents, and communication performance summaries.
Coordinate with Marketing, Human Resources, Legal, Operations, Executive Leadership, and other departments on communications activities.
Ensure sensitive and confidential corporate information is handled appropriately.
Follow corporate communication policies, approval procedures, confidentiality requirements, and brand guidelines.
Identify opportunities to improve communication effectiveness, employee engagement, stakeholder relationships, and corporate messaging.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Public Affairs, Business, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, public affairs, media relations, or a related field.
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Strong understanding of corporate communication principles and practices.
Ability to communicate complex business information clearly and effectively.
Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple communication projects and deadlines.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive corporate information professionally.
Experience supporting executive communications and leadership messaging.
Experience developing corporate announcements, press releases, newsletters, and employee communications.
Experience with internal communications platforms, intranet systems, and corporate websites.
Experience with social media and digital communications.
Experience coordinating corporate events, town halls, conferences, or stakeholder meetings.
Experience with media monitoring and communication analytics tools.
Knowledge of AP Style or another professional business writing standard.
Experience with crisis communications or issues management.
Familiarity with content management systems and digital publishing tools.
Experience working with multinational or highly regulated organizations is a plus.
