Maintains patient records on unit. Schedules tests and procedures, notes orders, and maintains supply level for unit.
Responsibilities
Maintains adequate supply levels, patient records, and an orderly nursing station.
Communicates all information related to patient/physician needs in a concise, accurate and timely manner; Always uses proper identification on patient records
Transcribes orders in an accurate and timely manner and places necessary information in appropriate location. Schedules tests/procedures in accordance with hospital and unit standards.
Effective and efficient use of equipment, supplies and people. Identifies inefficiencies and inaccuracies, responding appropriately
Acts as a data collector for department/facility PI activities. Data collection is complete and accurate. Works to ensure the department meets regulatory standards.
Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
Required:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: AHA CPR required.
Preferred:
Education: Some college or vocational training preferred.
Experience: 1 to 2 years of job-related experience preferred.
