Job Description - University Relations Coordinator - Sol at West Village

Job Description:

The University Relations Coordinator is responsible for serving as the liaison between property management, the University of California – Davis, and its key university officials. This role will develop, manage, evaluate and oversee activities and services associated with strategic university relations. The University Relations Coordinator will participate in frequent check-ins and regular meetings to provide up on day-to-day operations. This role will also increase the property’s brand presence by ensuring we’re maintaining involvement with the university through recruiting efforts and other cross collaborating initiatives.

Direct Reports: None

Duties/Responsibilities: The duties listed below are an outline of the role’s responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed.

  • Facilitate communication and concerns between the university and community as needs arise.

  • Submit weekly SOPs, perform monthly walk throughs, and manage work order process for retail vendors.

  • Collaborate with student organizations and clubs to support their events and initiatives.

  • Facilitate student engagement initiatives with surrounding university housing.

  • Liaise with university representatives to coordinate guest lectures, workshops, and other educational initiatives.

  • Coordinate and participate in recruitments events.

  • Promote our organization as an employer of choice and effectively communicate out opportunities and benefits to prospective candidates.

  • Track and analyze key metrics related to campus recruitment and university partnerships, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

  • Previous experience in campus recruitment or university relations is highly desirable.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Excellent presentation and public speaking abilities.

  • Proficiency in using social media platforms and other digital tools for branding and engagement.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Knowledge of university recruiting trends and best practices.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The pay for this position is $22.00 per hour depending on a variety of factors including market factors in the geographical location where the candidate works.
