Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Urology invites applications for a full-time, fellowship-trained Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS). This is a tenure-track or non-tenure clinical track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, commensurate with experience and qualifications.









Description






Clinical

  • Provide expert evaluation, medical management, and surgical treatment of female pelvic floor disorders including urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, voiding dysfunction, and fistula repair
  • Perform advanced reconstructive procedures including minimally invasive (robotic, laparoscopic, and vaginal) approaches
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Gynecology, Colorectal Surgery, Physical Therapy, and related disciplines in an established multidisciplinary pelvic floor program
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient clinical activities across Emory Healthcare network sites
  • Mentor residents and fellows in clinical and surgical training


  • D., D.O., or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Urology
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS)/Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS) (or certification in this area from prior training)
  • Board certified or board eligible in Urology
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Georgia
  • Demonstrated competency in minimally invasive and reconstructive pelvic floor surgery

Preferred

  • Prior academic faculty experience or demonstrated research productivity
  • Experience with robotic-assisted surgery and advanced laparoscopic techniques
  • History of extramural grant funding or active research portfolio
  • Interest in clinical outcomes research, health disparities, or translational science

 

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
