Your Role

As a Utility Prep Cook, you'll support kitchen operations and help ensure residents enjoy nutritious, high-quality meals. This hands-on role plays a key part in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen while supporting the culinary team.

What You'll Do

Food Preparation & Service – Assist with meal preparation and serve meals and beverages as needed.

Kitchen Maintenance – Keep kitchen areas clean and organized, handle trash and recyclables, and sanitize equipment and surfaces.

Dishwashing Duties – Rinse, soak, sanitize, and store dishes, pots, and pans while operating the dish machine.

Record Keeping – Help maintain records, report supply needs, and notify the supervisor of equipment issues.

Safety & Compliance – Follow food safety protocols and properly store food to prevent contamination.

What We're Looking For

• Previous food preparation experience or experience working with seniors is a plus, but not required.


• Strong customer service and communication skills.


• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.


• Knowledge of food safety standards and a commitment to following established procedures.


• Dependable, able to work independently, and committed to high-quality work.
