Value Stream Leader 


Position Summary


The Value Stream Leader is responsible for overseeing the health and performance of the order fulfillment process from contract review through customer delivery. This role ensures work is visible, risks are identified early, and complete, accurate information flows efficiently throughout the organization while leading continuous improvement efforts that enhance quote-to-ship performance.


Serving as the central point of coordination between Estimating, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, and Operations, the Value Stream Leader works to eliminate bottlenecks, improve communication, standardize workflows, and increase the speed, quality, and consistency of customer quotations and order execution.


The ideal candidate is a highly organized, analytical, customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about improving processes, developing cross-functional collaboration, and delivering measurable business results.


Responsibilities




  • Own the order fulfillment value stream from customer purchase order receipt through final shipment and delivery.




  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure timely, accurate, and competitive order execution.




  • Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and drive accountability throughout the production and order management process.




  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that simplify workflows, reduce waste, improve efficiency, and increase customer satisfaction.




  • Develop, document, and maintain standardized processes, procedures, and best practices.




  • Balance workloads and operational priorities to meet customer expectations and business objectives.




  • Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.




  • Analyze operational data and recommend solutions that improve productivity, quality, responsiveness, throughput, and delivery performance.




  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the order management process and ERP system, ensuring data accuracy, process consistency, and operational visibility.




  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to develop reports, dashboards, presentations, and analyses that support business and operational decision-making.




  • Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.




Qualifications





  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.




  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, precision machining, fabrication, or a related production environment.




  • Knowledge of estimating, quoting, costing, production planning, project coordination, or manufacturing operations.




  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.




  • Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with ERP, MRP, or other manufacturing software systems.




  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.




  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.




  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, improve business processes, and drive operational performance.




Preferred




  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other Continuous Improvement methodologies.




  • Experience using ERP or MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.




  • Familiarity with CNC machining, fabrication, manufacturing workflows, production scheduling, or industrial operations.
