As a Value Stream Supervisor, you are the driver of our production floor. You will lead a dedicated team of technicians in the general assembly of high-precision flight hardware, ensuring that production goals are met without ever compromising quality or aerospace standards. This is a role for a highly disciplined "player-coach" who leads by example on the floor. You will own the daily rhythm of your value stream—running Tier Huddles, managing workflow, eliminating bottlenecks, and enforcing strict 5S and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) protocols. If you can drive Lean performance while maintaining the highest standards of accountability and team discipline, we want you to lead this value stream.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Leadership & Culture: Direct the daily activities of the assembly team. You are responsible for hiring, training, and developing your staff, as well as handling performance reviews, time/attendance tracking, and corrective actions when necessary.
• Process & Workstation Standards: Ensure strict adherence to Standard Work and 5S principles. You will ensure every team member follows proper FOD prevention procedures and maintains an organized, highly efficient workspace. You are the ultimate role model for shop-floor discipline.
• Production Management: Facilitate daily "Tier Huddles" on the shop floor to review performance metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost). You will effectively allocate personnel and resources to ensure the value stream hits daily targets and shipping schedules.
• Problem Solving & Escalation: Act as the first line of defense for production issues. You will confer constantly with Management, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve bottlenecks, equipment malfunctions, or material shortages immediately so the line doesn't stop.
• Team Development & Cross-Training: Manage dynamic cross-training matrices to ensure the team is highly flexible and that all operator certifications are current. You are accountable for ensuring your technicians are capable, confident, and cross-trained on multiple assemblies.
• Operational Excellence: Complete weekly leader standard work. You will submit requisitions for materials, shop supplies, and equipment repairs to ensure the team always has the tools they need to succeed.
• Safety & Audit Readiness: Maintain a safe, productive, and compliant work environment. You will ensure your assembly area is always 100% "Audit Ready" for sudden customer or AS9100 regulatory visits.

• Legal: Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.
• ITAR: Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum (due to ITAR requirements).
• Experience: Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production setting. A strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, standard work, waste reduction) is highly preferred.
• Leadership Style: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to hold people accountable, inspire a team, and lead individuals to successful outcomes. You must be comfortable having tough, direct conversations regarding behavior (e.g., standard work adherence, safety, attendance).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook) to track production data, write reports, and manage attendance.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to read performance metrics, identify root causes of slowdowns, and assist the Operations Manager in closing gaps on missed goals.
• Physical Demands: Must be able to sit and stand constantly, spending the majority of the shift actively walking the production floor. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs safely. Must possess the manual dexterity to handle tools, components, and computer equipment.
