VASCULAR NEUROLOGIST:
The Department of Neurology, Stroke Division, at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Vascular Neurologist (M.D. or M.D.-Ph.D.) to join our expanding team at the Assistant or Associate Professor level (non-tenure track). We welcome both clinician–educators and clinician–scientists with a strong interest in delivering outstanding stroke care within a nationally recognized academic medical center.
About Our Stroke Program
The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is a Joint Commission and State of Maryland–accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and home to an ACGME-accredited Vascular Neurology Fellowship. Our program offers:
Active NIH and VA–funded research programs in acute stroke treatment, vascular biology, epidemiology, stroke genetics, and rehabilitation.

Salary Range:
Assistant Professor — $218,861 to $280,000
The referenced range reflects base salary and does not include additional components of the Department of Neurology’s compensation structure or variable pay programs. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market conditions.
