Your Impact
As a VDC Designer, you will play a key role in driving project success through the development, coordination, and management of virtual design and construction (VDC) models. You will collaborate closely with engineering, construction, manufacturing, and project teams to create accurate digital representations of mission-critical infrastructure projects, improving constructability, coordination, and project execution. Your expertise in BIM technologies and multidisciplinary coordination will help reduce project risk, improve design quality, and enable successful project delivery for some of the most advanced data center and infrastructure projects in the industry.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Create, update, and manage 3D models using Revit and Autodesk Forma to support design, coordination, and construction activities
- Utilize Navisworks to perform clash detection, model coordination, project reviews, and constructability assessment
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely model integration across disciplines
- Maintain model quality, consistency, and compliance with project standards
- Utilize Procore and other project management platforms to manage project documentation and facilitate communication
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to resolve design conflicts and improve constructability
- Participate in coordination meetings and present model updates, issues, and recommendations
- Support project teams with model-based planning, visualization, and collaboration efforts
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support project objectives and schedule requirements
- Assist in developing and maintaining BIM/VDC standards, workflows, and best practices
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Revit for BIM modeling and construction documentation
- Experience using Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection
- Experience with Autodesk Forma for design visualization and analysis
- Familiarity with Procore or similar construction project management platforms
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced project environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to model accuracy
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Design Technology, or a related field
- Previous experience in a VDC Designer, BIM Coordinator, BIM Designer, or similar role
- Experience supporting data center, mission-critical, industrial, manufacturing, or commercial construction projects
- Understanding of construction sequencing, coordination workflows, and project delivery processes
- Experience working in multidisciplinary project environments

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Employees must be able to communicate effectively and operate standard office equipment, including laptops, monitors, keyboards, and phones. This role requires frequent use of BIM, VDC, and project management software platforms. Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting, computer work, reviewing technical drawings and models, participating in meetings, and collaborating with project teams. Employees may occasionally travel to project sites, manufacturing facilities, or customer locations to support coordination, planning, and project execution activities. The work environment is primarily office-based with occasional exposure to active construction, manufacturing, or project environments. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when visiting project sites.
