Job Description - Vehicle Acquisition Driver



Automotive Vehicle Acquisition Driver- All locations

 

Position Summary

 

Dan Cummins Auto Group is seeking a dependable and professional Vehicle Acquisition Driver to assist with transporting vehicles purchased from private individuals and various locations. This position plays an important role in supporting our vehicle purchasing operations by ensuring newly acquired inventory is picked up safely, efficiently, and delivered to the appropriate dealership location.

Responsibilities


  • Travel to various locations to pick up vehicles purchased from private sellers and other sources.

  • Conduct basic vehicle inspections and document any existing damage prior to transport.

  • Verify titles, keys, and other required paperwork are received and delivered properly.

  • Safely operate and transport vehicles while complying with all traffic laws and company policies.

  • Coordinate with the purchasing team regarding pickup schedules and vehicle status updates.

  • Maintain professional interactions with customers and sellers during vehicle transactions.

  • Assist with vehicle deliveries and transfers between dealership locations as needed.

  • Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel receipts, and transport documentation.

  • Ensure vehicles are delivered clean, secure, and in a timely manner.


Qualifications


  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to travel throughout Kentucky and surrounding states as needed.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Dependable, organized, and able to work independently.

  • Comfortable operating a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.

  • Ability to use smartphones and navigation applications effectively.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties that require walking, bending, and standing.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous automotive, transportation, delivery, or dealership experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with vehicle titles and basic automotive operations is a plus.
