Fox Powersports is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and customer-focused Vehicle Outfitter Specialist to join our team!
This unique position combines elements of Parts Sales, Service Advising, and Vehicle Customization. The Vehicle Outfitter Specialist will work directly with customers purchasing motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, and other powersports vehicles to help transform their new machine into one that fits exactly how they plan to use it.
Whether a customer needs a windshield and roof for their new UTV, luggage for their motorcycle, a winch and plow for their ATV, or wants to build a fully accessorized machine, you'll help them select the right products and coordinate the entire installation process.
What You'll Do
As our Vehicle Outfitter Specialist, you will serve as the customer's primary point of contact for vehicle accessories and customization.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Meet with customers purchasing new and pre-owned powersports vehicles to discuss accessory and customization options.
- Ask questions to understand how the customer plans to use their vehicle and recommend accessories based on their needs, preferences, and budget.
- Recommend and sell OEM and aftermarket accessories including windshields, roofs, doors, storage, protection, lighting, audio, winches, plows, wheels and tires, comfort accessories, performance products, and more.
- Create accessory packages and provide customers with accurate parts, labor, and installation estimates.
- Maintain strong product knowledge across the brands and vehicles offered by Fox Powersports.
- Work closely with the Sales Department to ensure customers are introduced to accessory opportunities during the vehicle purchasing process.
- Create and manage installation Repair Orders for sold accessories.
- Coordinate with the Parts Department to confirm product availability and order necessary components.
- Coordinate installation scheduling with the Service Department.
- Track accessory installation Repair Orders from start to finish.
- Monitor parts availability, installation progress, and expected completion dates.
- Communicate proactively with customers and internal departments regarding the status of their vehicle build.
- Help resolve parts delays, scheduling conflicts, or other issues that could impact vehicle delivery.
- Verify accessory installations are completed and the vehicle is ready for delivery as promised.
- Follow up with customers regarding accessory opportunities that were discussed but not purchased during the original vehicle sale.
- Maintain organized records of accessory quotes, pending customer decisions, parts orders, and open installation Repair Orders.
- Help identify opportunities to increase accessory sales and improve the overall vehicle purchasing experience.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys powersports and gets excited about helping customers build their ideal machine.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, or the powersports industry.
- Comfortable speaking with customers and asking questions to identify their needs.
- Sales-minded without being overly aggressive or pushy.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple customer builds at the same time.
- Detail-oriented when creating quotes, parts lists, and Repair Orders.
- Comfortable coordinating between multiple departments.
- Proactive with customer communication and follow-up.
- Able to take ownership of a project and see it through from beginning to end.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.
- Willing and eager to learn about new vehicles, accessories, products, and technology.
Previous experience in powersports, automotive, parts sales, service advising, accessory sales, or vehicle customization is highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong customer service skills, organization, sales ability, and a genuine passion for the industry.
Why This Position Is Different
This isn't simply a Parts Counter position or a traditional Service Advisor role.
You'll have the opportunity to help customers build their machine around how they actually intend to use it.
You'll work with the customer from the initial accessory consultation through the completed installation, acting as the connection between Sales, Parts, Service, and the customer.
For someone who loves powersports, enjoys talking about accessories and vehicle builds, and gets satisfaction from seeing a finished machine come together, this position offers a unique opportunity to turn that passion into a career.
