Vendor Sample Professional - Mailroom, East Region - Full Time

Job Overview

The Vendor Sample Professional receives, processes, tracks, and transports merchandise samples and mailroom materials in support of the buying teams. They manage the flow of incoming and outgoing samples, packages, and correspondence, ensuring timely delivery and accurate processing.

What You Will Do

• Receive, process, and prepare inbound and outbound vendor samples accurately and efficiently.
• Work independently with minimal supervision when needed.
• Adhere to established best practices and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Sort and deliver samples to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Ship packages using DHL, USPS, UPS WorldShip, and CampusShip systems.
• Sort, scan, and track all incoming packages using the UPS tracking system.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with messengers, vendors, colleagues, and merchant leadership at all levels.
• Support meeting room setup and teardown, including moving tables, chairs, mannequins, rolling racks, rods, and merchandise samples.
• Prepare and ship donated samples to designated charitable organizations or locations.
• Lift, move, and transport merchandise samples, packages, and equipment as required.
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities. 
• In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.

Skills You Will Need

Organization & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate competing demands, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Technology & Systems Proficiency: Basic computer skills with the ability to use shipping, tracking, and inventory management systems, including UPS WorldShip, CampusShip, and package tracking tools.

Communication & Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and provide service to vendors, merchants, leadership, colleagues, and external partners.

Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records, monitor package and sample movement, and ensure timely processing and delivery.

Adaptability & Initiative: Resourceful self-starter who works independently and as part of a team, adapts quickly to changing priorities, and takes ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to partner with buying teams, mailroom colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders to support business operations and service commitments.

Who You Are

• Candidates with a High School diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply. 

• This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, remaining in a stationary position, and reaching with arms and hands. Involves remaining in a stationary position for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 50 lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. May involve reaching above eye level. Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

• Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs.
