What You’ll Do

• Examine and treat companion animals
  

• Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results
  

• Educate clients on preventative care and treatment options
  

• Perform surgery and dental procedures
  

• Prescribe medications as needed
  

• Provide guidance and compassion for end -of -life care
  

• Maintain accurate medical records
  

• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and procedures
  

Requirements

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA -accredited institution
  

• Eligibility for Alabama state licensure
  

• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD
  

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  

• Professional, courteous demeanor
  

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently; more with assistance
