Vice President, Partnership Activation

Inter Miami CF is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Partnership Activation to lead the Club’s Partnership Activation department and oversee the strategic management, delivery and long-term development of its premium global commercial partnership portfolio.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Partnerships, this executive will provide VP level leadership to the department’s Directors and their teams, establish best in class standards of partner service and operational accountability, and personally develop trusted relationships with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers at the Club’s most significant partners, in close collaboration with the Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer.

The role is central to protecting and growing the long-term value of the Club’s partnerships, ensuring exceptional experiences and measurable business outcomes as Inter Miami CF and Miami Freedom Park enter their next chapter.

Responsibilities & Duties:  

• Lead the entire Partnership Activation function, providing strategic direction, coaching and performance oversight to Directors and their respective account management teams.
• Establish clear departmental objectives, service standards, KPIs, accountability frameworks and consistent operating processes across the partner portfolio.
• Build a high-performance culture rooted in ownership, creativity, commercial awareness, collaboration and continuous improvement; develop talent and succession plans.
• Oversee departmental resourcing, prioritisation, budgets and workload allocation to ensure scalable, consistently excellent delivery.
• Executive Relationships & Strategic Partner Management
• Personally own and cultivate executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders and senior stakeholders at the Club’s most significant global partners, alongside the Senior Vice President of Partnerships and Chief Revenue Officer. 
• Set multi-year strategic account plans informed by each partner’s business priorities, brand objectives and measures of success.
• Lead senior partner business reviews and strategic discussions; serve as an executive escalation point for complex issues and lead timely, solutions-oriented resolution.
• Ensure Directors and account teams build strong day-to-day relationships while maintaining clear executive sponsorship and coordinated engagement across accounts.
• Activation Strategy & Partner Experience
• Oversee the planning and fulfilment of all contractual partnership rights and obligations, with a focus on quality, timeliness and measurable partner impact.
• Drive innovative, integrated activation across matchday, stadium, digital, content, experiential, retail and community platforms, leveraging Club and Miami Freedom Park assets.
• Partner across Marketing, Communications, Digital, Operations, Finance, Legal and other functions to deliver coordinated, premium partner experiences.
• Implement robust account planning, partner feedback, reporting and executive recap processes that demonstrate value and inform continuous improvement.
• Retention, Renewal Readiness & Commercial Growth
• Own departmental accountability for partner satisfaction, retention and renewal readiness, identifying risks early and implementing proactive recovery plans.
• Work closely with the Senior Vice President of Partnerships and Partnership Development to strengthen renewal positioning, identify organic growth opportunities and support commercial negotiations.
• Track partner health, delivery performance, engagement and commercial outcomes through regular reporting and actionable insights.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in sponsorship, strategic account management, integrated marketing or commercial partnerships within sports, entertainment, agencies or leading global brands.
• Proven senior leadership experience managing managers and developing high-performing, multi-layered teams.
• Demonstrated success overseeing complex, high-value global partnerships and engaging credibly with C-suite executives.
• Strong strategic, commercial, financial and operational judgement, with experience driving retention, renewal readiness and partnership value.
• Exceptional relationship-building, communication, presentation, negotiation and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. English fluency required; Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, matchdays and special events as business needs require.
