The Vice-President of Finance is responsible for strategic decision-making and operational partnerships with senior leadership at DC Water. This role's responsibilities include providing strategic recommendations and accurate financial information for executive decision-making, implementing new & innovative funding opportunities, managing Accounts Receivable for retail revenue payments, overseeing the Risk Management team, overseeing the Grants Management & Billing team, directing cash management activities to maintain short-term liquidity and long-term solvency, ensuring proper debt management in line with the Authority's financial policies.
Provides strategic recommendations to the leadership based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly oversees the finance department, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Key Working Relationships: Interacts with high level officials, managers and supervisors throughout the Authority, local union representatives, vendors, officials from other government and private agencies and organizations, etc.

15 years of progressive financial leadership experience with expertise in developing and executing strategic financial plans, identifying, and mitigating financial risks for organizations’ fiscal health. |
Proven ability to lead and manage a finance team, with a track record of successful financial leadership. |

| Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university. |
