We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Video Editor to join our dynamic media team. This role is essential in shaping compelling visual narratives that resonate with our audience across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in video editing, a creative eye for storytelling, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging content, ensuring timely delivery that aligns with our editorial standards and broadcast schedules. Your work will directly impact our brand’s visibility and audience engagement, making this a pivotal position within our organization.
Responsibilities:
Edit high-quality video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and other tools in the Adobe Creative Suite.
Collaborate with producers, directors, and on-air talent to deliver timely and accurate edits.
Manage and organize media assets efficiently for seamless workflow and future reference.
Ensure all video content meets technical and creative standards for broadcast and digital platforms.
Adapt quickly to changing deadlines and priorities, particularly during live news coverage.
Maintain a professional, proactive approach to workflow and project management.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Film, Media Production, or Communications.
Proven experience using Adobe Creative Suite, with advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro.
A professional reel demonstrating strong video editing skills and storytelling ability.
Flexibility to work across NM operating hours (4:30 AM – 11:00 PM), including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
Prior experience editing for a live news station or national network.
Familiarity with After Effects for motion graphics and visual effects.
A track record of delivering high-volume, high-accuracy edits under tight deadlines.
