Videographer/Photographer

As a member of the Integrated Marketing team, the Videographer/Photographer will serve as a key visual storyteller, producing high-quality photography and video content that showcases the Assumption experience across a wide range of audiences and platforms. This position is responsible for capturing, editing, and delivering compelling visual content that supports the University's enrollment, advancement, athletics, academic, and brand marketing initiatives. Working collaboratively with colleagues across campus, the Videographer/Photographer will help tell authentic stories that highlight student life, academics, faculty expertise, alumni success, campus events, and the Greyhound community. The successful candidate will have a strong creative eye, technical proficiency with professional camera equipment, and experience producing engaging visual content for digital platforms.  

Responsibilities:

• Working collaboratively with the Integrated Marketing team and campus partners, the Videographer/Photographer will: 
• Capture and produce high-quality photo and video content that reflects the University's mission, brand standards, and strategic priorities. 
• Create and edit professional-quality videos using industry-standard software, incorporating graphics, music, color correction, and motion elements as appropriate for each project. 
• Capture, edit, and retouch photography for use across digital, print, advertising, social media, and University publications.
• Collaborate with writers, designers, marketers, admissions staff, athletics, faculty, and campus partners to develop visual concepts that align with institutional messaging and campaign goals. 
• Assist with creative planning by identifying opportunities for new visual storytelling, seasonal campaigns, and content series that elevate the University's brand. 
• Maintain and organize digital photo and video assets, ensuring proper storage, tagging, and accessibility for future use. 
•  Stay current on emerging visual storytelling techniques, photography and video trends, production technologies, and social media best practices. 
• Occasionally provide photography and videography support during evenings and weekends for University events, athletics contests, and other special assignments.

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 3 to 5 years of experience
• Demonstrated experience in professional photography and videography through previous employment, internships, freelance work, and/or a strong portfolio.
• Experience operating DSLR and/or mirrorless camera systems, professional lenses, lighting, audio equipment, and stabilization tools. 
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop. Knowledge of After Effects preferred. 
• Strong understanding of visual composition, lighting, storytelling, audio capture, and post-production workflows. 
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to producing polished, high-quality work.
•  Willingness to contribute actively to the mission of the University and demonstrate respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University. 
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as an engaged member of the Integrated Marketing team.
