Visual Merchandising Lead (Charleston)

The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for bringing the Chubbies brand to life through creative product presentation, impactful displays, and exceptional store standards. This role drives sales by creating an engaging shopping experience while ensuring that all visual and merchandising directives are executed consistently. 

Primary Responsibilities 

Create Legendary Customer Experiences 

Every person who walks through our doors should leave smiling. 

You Will: 

• Welcome every customer like they're walking into your own backyard barbecue. 

• Help shoppers find products they'll love (and probably didn't know they needed). 

• Build authentic relationships that turn first-time visitors into lifelong Chubbies fans. 

• Deliver the kind of service people tell their friends about. 

Visual Presentation 

• Execute all visual merchandising standards and floor sets according to company guidelines. 

• Maintain attractive product displays, mannequin styling, fixture placement, and feature tables. 

• Ensure merchandise is displayed in a way that maximizes sales and highlights key collections, promotions, and seasonal products. 

• Update visual displays regularly to keep the sales floor fresh and engaging. 

Brand Experience 

• Maintain a store environment that reflects the Chubbies lifestyle and brand identity. 

• Ensure visual storytelling supports company marketing campaigns and product launches. 

• Create an exciting and welcoming shopping experience for all guests. 

Product & Inventory Management 

• Partner with management to ensure proper product placement and replenishment. 

• Monitor stock levels of key styles and ensure merchandise is floor-ready at all times. 

• Support shipment processing and merchandise flow to the sales floor. 

Store Standards 

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all sales floor areas, displays, fixtures, and backstock locations. 

• Conduct daily visual recovery to ensure the store remains customer-ready. 

• Ensure all signage, pricing, and promotional materials are accurate and current. 

Team Support & Leadership 

• Regularly opens and closes the store 

• Train and coach team members and new hires on merchandising standards and presentation techniques. 

• Collaborate with the Store Manager to identify business opportunities through visual merchandising. 

• Support sales goals by driving awareness of featured products and seasonal collections. 

• Supports product knowledge training to weekenders  

• Captains fit sessions on floorset 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 

• Visual merchandising execution score 

• Floor set completion and timeliness 

• Sales performance of featured merchandise 

• Store presentation and recovery standards 

• Inventory replenishment accuracy 

• Customer experience and engagement 

Skills & Qualifications 

• Strong sense of fashion, styling, and visual presentation. 

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced retail environment. 

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills. 

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities. 

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., move fixtures, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.

A Few Things to Know 

Retail doesn't stop on weekends—and neither do we. 

This role requires: 

• Weekend availability based on business needs 

• Availability during Black Friday and the holiday season 

Physical Requirements 

This is an active role. 

You'll regularly: 

• Stand and walk for 6–8 hour shifts 

• Lift and move merchandise weighing up to 30 pounds 

• Bend, reach, kneel, and climb ladders as needed to stock and merchandise products
