Volkswagen/Volvo Tag and Title Clerk

Position Overview

As a Volkswagen/Volvo Tag and Title Clerk, you'll keep vehicle title and registration paperwork accurate, complete, and moving on schedule so sales and service can operate smoothly.

Key responsibilities include preparing and submitting title transfers, registrations, and lien releases; verifying sales/finance and compliance documents; coordinating with the sales team, finance, and state agencies; answering customer questions on title/registration status; maintaining audit-ready records; and spotting and correcting documentation errors or discrepancies.

Required qualifications/skills:
- Prior Tag and Title Clerk experience (or similar administrative experience) preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to juggle multiple deadlines
- Working knowledge of title/registration processes and applicable state/local rules
- Clear written/verbal communication with customers and agencies
- Microsoft Office proficiency; dealership management software experience a plus
- Analytical, solution-focused approach to compliance documentation

A Typical Workday

Your day is spent onsite, moving between focused desk work and quick check-ins with the front office. You'll start by reviewing the queue of incoming deals and documents, then prioritize items that need same-day follow-up. Throughout the day you'll track statuses, respond to questions from customers and partners, and make sure files are easy to locate when someone needs an update. You'll wrap up by confirming what was submitted, what's pending, and what needs attention first thing tomorrow.
