Duties are typically performed in an office setting, but significant time may be in a correctional setting with inmates who may be considered dangerous. Private means of transportation must be available for required travel. The frustration of needs in excess of available or potential resources may be present. Duty hours may be somewhat irregular due to the nature of program activity and client needs.
Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years or more of experience at a technical or professional level in social services, community organizations, education, or a related human resource program.
OR
Two years of full-time college coursework OR an associate's degree AND four (4) years or more of experience at a technical or professional level in social services, community organizations, education, or a related human resource program.
OR
High School diploma or equivalent AND six (6) years or more of experience at a technical or professional level in social services, community organizations, education, or a related human resource program.
Supervisory or coordinating experience.
Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
