VP, Corporate Risk

   The Vice President of Corporate Risk is a role aimed at delivering superior brokerage & client service to a portfolio of Hauser clients. The position involves managing key accounts, cultivating client relationships, and implementation of strategic business plans, while also brokering and onboarding new business opportunities working in partnership with the private equity M&A transaction service team.  This role provides an opportunity to mentor and nurture team members, while leading ground-breaking strategies that bring value to our clients.
As our clients’ primary point of contact at Hauser, the objective of the role is to build loyal and growing client relationships by having a detailed understanding of clients’ business strategy, drivers, goals, and initiatives, and translating these into insurance programs and risk management solutions that enhance client retention and generate new business opportunities.
OBJECTIVES AND ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Develop, execute, and communicate strategic service and renewal plans for each client, optimizing revenue while driving a consistent methodology across the portfolio. 
• Serve as a consultative liaison between clients and insurance companies, assisting clients in articulating their objectives, and continually assessing whether existing programs are achieving intended objectives.
• Facilitate, compile, and finalize market submissions (specifications, exposures, loss data) for account renewals, delivering results which manage risk effectively.
• Design solutions and negotiate with insurance carriers to obtain the risk financing structure, terms and conditions that best align with client’s exposures and needs.
• Analyze, compare and contrast risk transfer, risk financing and coverage options – providing comparison deliverables for both internal teams and clients.
• Develop and maintain analytical/actuarial techniques to design and compare programs, work in cooperation with outside actuaries where appropriate.
• Serve as an internal subject matter expert on market trends, pricing practices, insurance product developments, insurance carrier appetites/capabilities/practices and other underwriting developments.
• Consult on matters with innovative ideas that foster efficiency and process improvement including finance, business planning, due diligence, communication, and special projects. 
• Ensure overall account profitability, with a value-based approach for the scope of service
• Actively contribute to new sales efforts with the M&A team by developing pursuit strategies, assisting in onboarding/transitioning new business, and promoting proactive and forward-thinking marketing strategies and best practices across our PE partners, current clients, and prospective clients.
• Lead the development of service team colleagues, providing professional guidance, coaching, and career mapping to strengthen client delivery.
• Industry Expertise: Invest efforts in training/education to equip clients with the industry’s top-tier products and services and remain informed about vital legislation that may influence the client’s business.
• Provide guidance and career mapping feedback & recommendations on service team career advancement and expectations for development.
• Work closely with Hauser’s leadership team to implement and further the company’s strategy.
• Retain and grow Hauser’s practice, cultivating relationships with senior-most client decision-makers, as well as with day-to-day client contacts.
• Serve as primary relationship manager, ensuring service teams understand client needs, delivery methods, and the financial value of services provided.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  

• High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a key account broker providing consulting and client service within the P&C insurance industry (required)
• A network of carrier relationships 
• Proven experience of strategic focus, leadership skills, and financial acumen 
• Exhibit high-level analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly in both oral and written form.
• Proficiency with CRM systems - Applied EPIC (agency management system preferred)
• Expertise in Microsoft Office 365 
• Active Resident Property & Casualty insurance License 
• Ability to travel domestically up to 35%

Desired prior experience Preferred –

• Experience servicing private equity firms 
• Prior experience servicing c-level risk management or human resources; a plus
• Prior knowledge of M&A Experienced
