Role Overview:

As a Warden, you will work independently, consulting with the Indiana Department of Correction Central Office on the establishment of policies and procedures. You will have the authority to decide the operating, security, and program functions of the facility. You will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation, as well as addressing any potential incidents. You will often serve as the Department’s spokesperson to community groups and community officials. As a Warden, you will have a major impact on the achievement of the Department’s overall goals. You will be on-call 24/7, 365 days a year, unless a replacement has been designated. Additionally, you will be required to walk around the facility frequently and engage with staff and the incarcerated individuals.  

Salary Statement: 

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $85,020.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
