EDS is looking for a reliable and self-motivated warehouse assistant to join our team. As a warehouse assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for performing various tasks related to inventory management, order picking and packing, and general warehouse maintenance. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary:
Warehouse Assistant supports Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient ordering, receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory & equipment. This position promotes EDS's Safety Culture, while supporting Operations goals, providing excellent internal & external customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Warehouse Manager in planning, organizing, and directing operations.
Serve as Warehouse Manager in their absence.
Ability to effectively communicate with supplier partners.
Activities comply with EDS safety policies, OSHA regulations, and requirements.
Daily warehouse housekeeping, and other areas assigned.
Equipment Management (with specific WM guidance)
Fleet Management (with specific WM guidance)
Inventory
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager or others as appropriate.
Qualifications
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
Valid driver's license
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred
1-2 years warehouse experience
Minimum of 1–2 years of team lead experience.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices understanding
Ability to analyze inventory reports and operational metrics.

Physical Requirements
Frequently stand and walk for extended periods.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Work in varying temperatures, including warehouse and outdoor environments.
Work Environment
Fast-paced warehouse environment.
Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, and warehouse traffic.
May require overtime, weekends, or flexible scheduling during peak business periods.

Hourly Rate: $20 - $22
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, M-F (this may fluctuate based on business needs)
