What You Will Do
- Efficiently and accurately fills jobsite orders including receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity.
- Completes all warehouse transactions accurately and thoroughly.
- Keeps accurate inventory records of equipment.
- Receives, inspects, and organizes incoming shipments.
- Responsible for regular maintenance and upkeep of company equipment, company vehicles and the warehouse environment.
- Drives company vehicles to deliver parts and equipment to job sites as needed.
- Adhere to the PRIME Safety Program, complying with safety regulations, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Performs other duties as requested; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
What You Will Need to be Successful
- High school graduate or equivalent; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift/push/pull/carry at least 50 pounds on a continual basis (including heavier loads with assistance).
- Previous warehouse, receiving and forklift experience is preferred.
- Possesses a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Special Requirements/Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in a warehouse setting with occasional exposure to health or safety hazards such as, but not limited to, electrical hazards, heavy equipment and machinery and inclement weather conditions. Frequent operation of warehouse vehicles and equipment. Work may be performed in cramped or awkward positions. Frequent lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying of 50+ lbs. (including heavier loads with assistance). May require travel to active construction job sites. Frequent use of personal protective equipment (e.g. safety glasses, gloves, safety vests, hard hats and steel-toed boots).
Communication Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write basic correspondence such as memos. Face-to-face and telephone communication. No presentation skills necessary.
Reasoning Ability and/or Critical Thinking:
Work assignments are routine and regularly recurring and require attention and concentration. Limited planning, discretion and consideration are necessary to adequately carry out work activities.
