Warehouse Custodian

Location: Richmond, VA
Pay: $15.50/hour; increases to $16/hour upon conversion to permanent employment
Hours: 7:00 AM until finished
Schedule: Five days per week, scheduled Sunday–Friday. Saturdays and one additional weekday off.

We are seeking a dependable Custodian for a food distribution warehouse supplying fresh produce, dairy, eggs, and gourmet food products to foodservice businesses throughout the Mid-Atlantic. This position maintains the cleanliness of the facility and employee areas, including work in and around a cold, wet warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

• Clean restrooms, breakrooms, offices, hallways, and other designated areas.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Empty trash and recycling containers.
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies.
• Clean tables, counters, door handles, and other frequently touched surfaces.
• Keep cleaning supplies organized and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow cleaning procedures and wear required protective equipment.

Requirements:

• Excellent attendance and punctuality are required.
• Must be comfortable working in a cold, wet warehouse environment.
• Must be available to work the assigned schedule, including Sundays, until daily tasks are completed.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform cleaning duties throughout the shift.
• Ability to follow instructions and safely use cleaning products.
• Previous custodial, janitorial, or warehouse cleaning experience preferred.
