Warehouse Driver

Your Mission in Motion

As a Driver with St. Vincent de Paul, you help make a difference by keeping donated goods and requested items moving safely and on time—supporting our mission across Baton Rouge. This full-time, onsite role is essential to reliable logistics between stores, warehouses, shelters, administrative offices, and kitchen facilities.

Key responsibilities:
- Pick up, transport, and deliver donations, merchandise, and supplies between SVDP locations
- Secure loads, follow routing plans, and complete basic delivery documentation
- Operate vehicles safely and professionally while representing our mission in the community

Required qualifications:
- Valid Class E driver’s license with a clean driving record
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Able to read and follow procedures; comfortable using maps/GPS
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted (and 50+ lbs with assistance)
- Respect for Catholic Church teachings and the SVDP mission

Your day starts with a quick check-in and route plan, then you’re out across Baton Rouge—moving between busy docks, store backrooms, and community-facing sites. You’ll spend time in changing weather, navigate city streets with GPS, and coordinate timing so each stop stays on track. Between runs, you’ll complete simple paperwork, reset for the next route, and stay attentive to safety around equipment and moving parts. You end the day knowing your steady pace and care helped our mission reach more people.
