Warehouse Team Lead

Job Description

Bookazine is seeking an experienced and dependable Warehouse Team Lead to assist with the daily operations of our Bayonne, NJ distribution facility. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on with daily warehouse activities.

The Warehouse Team Lead will help coordinate workflow, support warehouse associates, maintain productivity and accuracy, and ensure daily operations are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Lead and assist warehouse associates with daily assignments and workflow.

Help coordinate receiving, picking, packing, shipping, put-away, and inventory activities.

Monitor employee productivity, attendance, and work performance.

Ensure orders are picked, packed, and prepared accurately and on schedule.

Assist with assigning tasks and distributing workload throughout the shift.

Train and provide guidance to new and existing warehouse employees.

Help maintain accurate inventory and proper product organization.

Assist with loading and unloading shipments as needed.

Monitor warehouse organization and ensure work areas remain clean and safe.

Follow and enforce company safety policies and warehouse procedures.

Qualifications

1-2+ years of warehouse/distribution experience preferred.

Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Previous Team Lead, Lead Associate, Supervisor, or senior warehouse experience preferred.

Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory.

Ability to lead by example and effectively communicate with a team.
