BELEN Network is supporting Brothers Transportation LLC in recruiting a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to support DC Lottery ticket distribution operations. In this on-site role, you will receive, store, organize, pull, pack, and prepare instant ticket orders for fulfillment, with a consistent focus on accuracy, timeliness, inventory control, and a safe warehouse environment. One warehouse employee may be assigned to arrive at 7:00 AM to open the warehouse and begin daily preparation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Pull, pack, and ship orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Receive, store, and distribute instant ticket inventory within the warehouse.
Assist with shipping and receiving, including checking in merchandise and matching purchase orders to sales orders.
Read agent orders to determine items to be pulled, packed, staged, or distributed.
Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping, shelves, pallets, holding areas, or other designated areas.
Sort and place materials according to product code or other required sequence.
Assemble customer orders from stock and prepare them for shipment or delivery handling.
Mark materials with identifying information using the appropriate method.
Open boxes, crates, containers, or packaging as needed for warehouse operations.
Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed using the appropriate computer program.
Assist with physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliation.
Prepare parcels for mailing or shipment.
Organize, sweep, dust, and mop the warehouse and work area to maintain orderliness.
Restock materials as required and notify supervisors of supply or inventory issues.
Report problems, discrepancies, damage, or unresolved issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Safety and Warehouse Standards
Keep the warehouse accessible, organized, and safe at all times.
Wear proper safety equipment when required.
Use proper lifting and handling methods when moving materials.
Safely use standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, tape dispensers, and other assigned tools.
Protect all inventory, materials, and confidential lottery-related information.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Strong attention to detail, dependability, and accuracy.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Ability to pass all required background, fingerprinting, and security clearance requirements.
Strong teamwork, coordination, organization, time management, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, logistics, or distribution experience.
Experience working with inventory systems, order-entry systems, or warehouse documentation.
Lottery, retail distribution, or government contract support experience.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform warehouse movement throughout the shift.
Ability to regularly lift and move light materials, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and handle heavier items with proper assistance or equipment as assigned.
Ability to perform visual checks for labels, product codes, pack information, defects, damages, and order accuracy.
Compliance Expectations
Employees must follow all DC Lottery, OLG, and Brothers Transportation LLC security, confidentiality, integrity, and conduct requirements.
Employees assigned to this contract must not play the lottery in the District of Columbia.
All warehouse work must be performed accurately, safely, professionally, and in accordance with contract expectations.
Additional Information
The security clearance requirement refers to the required DC Lottery/OLG background and fingerprinting process. It is not a separate federal security clearance.
Candidates should expect the background and fingerprinting process after a conditional offer and before training or being placed on-site.
Target start date: as soon as the candidate is selected, cleared, and ready for training.
