Description

Achieve 99%+ inventory accuracy.
Maintain 100% compliance with safety procedures and required training.
Perform warehouse operations safely and efficiently while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting on-time customer deliveries.
Ensure inventory accuracy by properly receiving, labeling, storing, counting, and transacting materials using the warehouse management system (WMS).
Meet or exceed warehouse productivity standards for receiving, picking, and shipping.
Maintain high-quality standards by inspecting materials for damage, following handling procedures, and reporting discrepancies or non-conforming products.
Collaborate with warehouse, production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow and continuous warehouse operations.
Contribute to warehouse efficiency by identifying process improvements, reducing waste, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling equipment while maintaining required certifications and equipment inspections.
Maintain a clean, organized warehouse by following 5S principles and ensuring work areas remain safe and efficient.
Demonstrate teamwork, reliability, and flexibility to meet changing business needs.

Responsibilities

Adhere strictly to all NOV Company policies, as well as Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines and procedures.
Greet and assist visitors, customers, and delivery personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
Deliver high-quality service by upholding company standards and operational procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with safety protocols and company policies.
Operate a variety of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, stock pickers, reach trucks, pallet jacks, tablets, computers, and handheld scanners safely and efficiently.
Abide by the NOV SPOT ON Inventory Management Golden Rule:
“Whatever I do physically, I will do electronically and Whatever I do electronically, I will do Physically.”
Unload incoming trucks and verify goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
Receive, inspect, and record inbound shipments using WMS and LPN tracking to ensure accurate documentation and traceability.
- Confirm material details and inspect for defects
- Electronically receive and document using tablets and scanners
- Tag items with appropriate LPN
- Store inventory in designated locations, following system-directed locators and FIFO methodology
- Promptly report discrepancies or non-compliant items using standard templates
Store inventory in designated warehouse locations according to LPN assignments and FIFO methodology.
Pick and pack orders for shipment based on system-generated pick lists, using a tablet and scan guns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Pull material as indicated by pick tickets
- Verify order details (e.g., part number, location, quantity, serial number, batch ID, expiration date)
- Package goods securely and in compliance with company standards
- Generate and affix packing slips and labels accurately
- Stage orders in the will-call area or prepare necessary shipping documentation
Load outbound trucks safely and accurately based on shipping documentation and customer requirements.
Handle will-call orders, verifying customer identity, picking orders accurately, and loading customer vehicles with care and attention to order completeness.
Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with regular audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
Handle delicate and elastomeric materials with appropriate care and technique.
Assist in reorganizing warehouse layout for operational efficiency.
Propose and implement improvements to warehousing procedures and workflows.
Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to streamline operations and resolve inventory issues.
Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to WMS and inventory movement.
Perform equipment inspections on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, and promptly report maintenance needs.
Keep work areas, shelving, and pallet zones tidy and compliant with safety standards.
Enter and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory and logistics software systems.
Enforce established inventory controls to ensure consistency and accountability.
Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
1+ year of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
Comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet with proper fall protection equipment
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing or walking for extended periods.
Strong team-oriented mindset with a positive and collaborative attitude.
Dependable and punctual; excessive absenteeism or tardiness is not acceptable.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Customer service-oriented, with the ability to handle will-call orders accurately and professionally.
Keen attention to detail with solid organizational capabilities.
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with handheld inventory devices.
Proficient in maintaining accurate documentation and records.
Working knowledge of ERP systems; experience with Glovia, Oracle, or SAP is a plus.
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology.
Understanding of inventory control practices, including License Plate Number (LPN) tracking and First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methods.
