What We’re Looking For: Walstrom Marine is looking for a candidate with experience in warranty processing and accounting principles to join our Harbor Springs team! Experience in the marine industry is a plus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide warranty support to customers and collaborate with the service and sales departments to ensure claims are handled accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with documenting and photographing issues with new boats delivered to Walstrom and alerting manufacturers of defects and issues as early as possible.
- Once a warranty job has been completed, promptly prepare, reconcile, and submit warranty claims to manufacturers for payment; ensure all documentation is timely, complete and compliant.
- Return all requested parts to vendors in a timely manner and including all necessary forms and paperwork.
- Accurately code warranty claims using labor operation codes; review and dispute denied or rejected claims as needed.
- Daily review all major vendor sites for warranty payments and then process those payments as needed for accounting.
- Process repair orders related to factory recalls, service bulletins or campaigns on customer and dealership-owned vessels.
- Maintain boat files to include records of warranty payments, credit memos, and ongoing claim activity.
- Maintain parts retention as required by manufacturers and vendors and properly and timely dispose of unneeded parts.
- Assist the parts department with ordering warranty repair parts as needed and file prior authorizations where necessary to ensure parts are covered under warranty.
- Be able to track warranty coverage dates between manufacturers, part vendors and third party warranty coverages when required to determine whether or not a repair is warrantable
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and dealership management systems (e.g., IDS).
- Effective communication and customer service abilities to support cross-departmental collaboration.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, Saturday availability required during summer months
- This is an in person, onsite position based out of our Harbor Springs location.
