water spyder II - Days

The Water Spider II is an experienced material-handling and production-support position responsible for independently coordinating material movement and availability within assigned manufacturing areas. In addition to performing Water Spider I responsibilities, the Water Spider II uses production schedules, fabrication plans, check sheets, blueprints/models, and manufacturing systems to identify material requirements and proactively address potential production interruptions.

• Prioritize      material-handling activities based on production needs, including      organizing parts and locating missing materials.
• Independently      follow the processes, procedures, and work instructions associated with      the assigned work center.
• Access      computer systems to review models and blueprints and verify correct      material and part requirements.
• Use      fabrication plans and check sheets to determine material requirements,      organize parts, and locate missing components.
• Understand      and use the ANDON system, including properly entering ANDONs and following      the established escalation process.
• Monitor      the production schedule and identify material or process issues that could      negatively impact production.
• Verify      completion of fabrication plans and confirm that required work has been      completed.
• Escalate      material shortages and production concerns to the appropriate Team Lead      and Supervisor.
• Recognize      parts by name and visual characteristics.
• Apply      knowledge of the assembly process to determine where parts are required,      where applicable.
• Use      measuring tools to double-check the bend quality of parts coming from the      bending work center.
• Apply      knowledge of shop-floor processes to assist Supervisors with root-cause      analysis related to missing-part issues.

· Operate power/hand tools, basic measuring equipment, including tape measures and calipers, to verify part dimensions. 

· Adhere to established work schedules, break periods, and company policies regarding phone use, smoking, music, and general workplace conduct. 

· Consistently wear and utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, safety footwear, and other designated safety equipment. 

· Support and maintain 5S workplace organization standards and housekeeping requirements within the assigned work center. 

· Understand and follow quality standards and workmanship requirements for assigned tasks and responsibilities. 

· Perform other material-handling and production-support duties as assigned.

Requirements: 

· Education: High School Diploma/GED required

· Experience: One year of continuous experience in a manufacturing environment required. Previous material handling experience preferred. 

Reading Ability: Must be able to read and understand English
