GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This is skilled technical work involving the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of water treatment and distribution facilities. Responsibilities include performing routine inspections, process control testing, equipment operation, and assisting with both preventive and corrective maintenance of plant equipment, machinery, and related systems. Employees are responsible for maintaining accurate operational records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and responding to operational issues as needed to support continuous plant operations. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Water Plant Chief or Assistant Chief Operator or designated supervisor and is reviewed through observation, reports, discussions, and evaluation of results achieved.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work requires very frequent standing, speaking, hearing and frequent walking, sitting, lifting objects less than 40 lbs., bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, digging, reaching over head, kneeling, climbing, reading and writing. Requires frequent operation of a pick-up truck on and off road. Works frequently with chemicals and in extreme weather, heights, confined areas and areas of excessive noise. Requires occasional typing/CRT.
JOB LOCATION
All City owned buildings, parks, grounds and recreation facilities. Any off-site locations and facilities utilized as part of the City's participation or involvement in an event, activity or job assignment.
