Jefferies Fixed Income Execution Desk facilitates client orders on a riskless basis functioning across all fixed income products, seeking best execution to fill client orders.  The desk is responsible for the full life cycle of transactions from trade to settlement.

Job Description:  Candidate will focus on fixed income operational functions, learning all aspects and roles on the Fixed Income Execution Desk.  Candidate will be responsible for complete trade life cycle from booking to settlement including regulatory requirements such as TRACE/MSRB reporting, best execution, and prevailing market price.  The role includes assisting the team with communicating market color/context and opportunities. 

Primary areas of Responsibilities:

• Support Financial Advisor teams from pre to post transaction


• Confirming and matching all fixed income transactions versus street counterparties


• Regulatory checks at start and end of each trading day


• Monitory of TRACE and MSRB web sights


• Business analysis 


• Facilitating client fixed income orders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred


• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint


• Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills


• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize workflow


• 2-4 years of related in financial services experience


• Effective communication skills


• Experience with Pershing Netx360, Bloomberg 


• Series 7, 63 and 66


• Spanish and or Portuguese helpful

New York, NY Full Time Base Salary Range of $85,000-105,000.
