Position: Weatherization Auditor/ Inspector

Position Overview:
The Weatherization Auditor/ Inspector will evaluate the energy efficiency and health/safety components of a building by gathering data and conducting tests. This position will use energy modeling software to identify areas for savings and reduction of energy consumption, improve the safety, and increase the lifespan of the building, while improving the quality of life and comfort for the occupants.

Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, move objects, tools, controls, and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to talk and hear. Frequently required to lift and carry tools and materials weighing 50 pounds. Occasionally drive a motor vehicle in different seasonal weather, road conditions, and times of day.
Noise in this work environment is at a moderate level. The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for noise, dust, and eye protection. Frequent exposure to residential environments containing lead paint, cigarette smoke, asbestos hazards, raw sewage, foul odors, animal waste, and mold.
Required to climb ladders to residential building heights, enter and crawl under building structures and attics. Some structures may be in highly disagreeable, dirty, or deplorable conditions. All PPE is provided by the employer.
Additional Conditions of Employment:
Successfully pass Building Analyst Tech and Building Analyst Professional certification exams within 15 months of employment. Successfully pass Energy Auditor certification exams within 24 months of employment. Successfully pass Quality Control Inspector exams within 36 months of employment.
Must be able to receive medical clearance to take a respirator fit test (RFT) and pass the RFT in addition to being able to satisfy the physical requirements of the position listed below.
Successfully pass pre-employment drug test, criminal history & background check. Provide a Washington State driving abstract (motor vehicle record) for the previous three (3) years that reflects no major violations and must be approved and added to the company's fleet insurance authorized driver list. If requested, provide valid a WA State Driver’s License and proof of insurance.
