Job Description - Weaver 2nd Shift


 

Summary: Operates machinery in a safe and efficient manner by performing the following duties. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities  

Operates production equipment to produce products in accordance with safety, quality, & projected company goals as related to company expectations. 

Produces assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions. 

Completes equipment set ups in accordance with machine & style specifications. 

Inspects product on cycle and documents findings as needed. 

Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas. 

Adheres to all established policies and procedures of safety, quality and production. 

Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries. 


Requirements

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Language Ability: 

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. 

Math Ability: 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and charts. 

Reasoning Ability:  

Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will be on their feet for the duration of their shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and smell.  

Safety: Wears PPE in accordance with company policy. Steel Toe Shoes & Earplugs in required areas.
