Weekend Caregiver

Senior Helpers of Blue Ridge is seeking compassionate and dedicated Weekend Caregivers to provide overnight and weekend assistance to our clients in Waynesboro and Swoope. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting seniors and their families with high-quality, personalized care. Some assignments include caring for couples, with pay reflecting the additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, compassionate, and attentive care to seniors during weekend and overnight shifts.


• Assist clients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility support.


• Monitor client safety and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.


• Support couples care assignments, ensuring both individuals receive individualized attention and care.


• Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.


• Adhere to company policies and safety standards at all times

Requirements

• Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required; we provide training.


• Ability to work weekends and overnight shifts reliably.


• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to seniors’ needs.


• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.


• Ability to pass background checks.
