Job Description

We are looking for dependable, compassionate caregivers to provide quality in-home care to clients in the Loganville and Decatur areas.

We currently have weekend opportunities available with varying shift times, including daytime and evening shifts. Some Decatur opportunities may include split shifts.

Caregivers will assist with personal care, hygiene, meals, mobility, household tasks, transportation to appointments, and other daily activities based on each client’s individual care plan.

The ideal caregiver is dependable, attentive, patient, and comfortable providing hands-on assistance while encouraging the client’s independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

  Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with safe transfers and ambulation

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure mobility aids are used safely and correctly

  
  


• 
  

  Help prevent falls by identifying and reducing safety hazards

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with meal preparation and ensure meals follow the client’s dietary requirements

  
  


• 
  

  Support proper nutrition and hydration

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with prescribed exercises and mobility activities as directed in the care plan

  
  


• 
  

  Encourage independence and help prevent loss of strength and mobility

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with repositioning and other measures to help maintain skin integrity

  
  


• 
  

  Use appropriate protective equipment, including non-latex gloves and materials when required

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with laundry and clothing care

  
  


• 
  

  Perform light housekeeping related to the client’s care

  
  


• 
  

  Accompany and assist clients with doctor appointments and other approved errands or outings

  
  


• 
  

  Provide companionship and emotional support

  
  


• 
  

  Observe and report changes in the client’s condition, mobility, skin integrity, nutrition, or overall well-being

  
  


• 
  

  Follow the client’s care plan and assigned duties

  
  


• 
  

  Complete required documentation accurately

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain communication with office staff regarding client needs or concerns

  
  


• 
  

  Provide dependable weekend coverage

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  PCA or CNA experience, certification, or training as applicable to the position

  
  


• 
  

  Current CPR & First Aid certification

  
  


• 
  

  Current TB test or required TB documentation

  
  


• 
  

  Previous caregiving or healthcare experience preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Comfortable providing hands-on personal care

  
  


• 
  

  Compassionate, patient, and professional attitude

  Reliable and dependable attendance

  Dependable transportation
