Welder Fabricator

Job Description: Welder/Fabricator

Handling Systems & Conveyors (HSC) is searching for an experienced welder fitter to join our team and contribute to the company's growth and success. In this role, the welder will be expected to fit, fabricate, and assemble weldable materials by applying appropriate techniques and using various welding machines.  Pay rate to be based on skills and experience.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 
  Thorough understanding of the machines and tools used in welding and cutting. Including the tools designed use, maintenance, and repair.


• 
  Ability to read fabrication prints and weld symbols.


• 
  Ability to work as a team member or alone.


• 
  Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding symbol callouts.

Education and Experience:

• 
  Minimum five years of fitting and welding, blueprint reading is a must. Aluminum welding experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• 
  Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.


• 
  Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for fabrication work.


• 
  Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at time.


• 
  Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.


• 
  Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
