Welder - Metal Fabricator

Job Summary:

Viewrail is seeking a strong candidate to join our Metal Production Team. The Welder/Metal Fabricator will weld within our post line.

Position Requirements & Responsibilities: (These requirements are in addition to any and all Viewrail employment requirements and policies.)

Responsibilities:

Fabrication experience in grinding and finishing raw material. Mild Steel, Stainless, and Aluminum.

Read and interpret blueprints

Read a tape measure

Handle and store welding materials and tools in compliance with company procedures. Inspect and test welded surfaces for defects, ensuring high-quality standards.

Prepare metal surfaces for welding by grinding, sanding, or cleaning.

Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring safe and proper operation.

Perform minor maintenance and repair of welding tools and equipment.

Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear such as gloves, helmets, and eye protection. Adhere to company quality and safety standards at all times.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors.

All other job duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills:

Ability to Mig/Tig Weld (Stainless, Mild, and Aluminum)
- Ability to weld Mild Steel is desired but not a requirement

Ability to read and understand prints

Able to read a tape measure

Proficient Computer skills

Strong communication skills

Ability to multitask

Strong sense and drive towards quality and safety in a workplace

Problem solving skills and ability to think outside the box (critical thinking)
