Welding Engineer

WELDING ENGINEER (Permanent)
Our client, an international manufacturing company in WNY, is looking to add a Welding Engineer to their growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Create processes/procedures for high precision components utilizing various welding techniques such as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Electron Beam Welding (EBW), Laser Beam Welding (LBW), Vacuum Furnace Brazing and Brazing
  


• Analyze processes for efficiency, perform quality control functions, and troubleshoot defects
  


• Review customer specifications to develop and apply complex welding techniques while maintaining industry standards
  


• Develop weld qualification reports, procedure specs, and work instructions
  


• Effectively communicate and train on proper techniques and procedures as needed
  


• Work well in a team environment as well as independently
  


• Other duties as assigned/as necessary
  

Details:

• Position is full-time, direct hire
  


• 100% in office/on site
  


• $90,000 - $140,000 depending on experience

• 3+ years’ experience welding engineering for EBW, GTAW, LBW, and/or Furnace Processes
  


• 3+ years Research & Development in welding processes/welding metallurgy
  


• Bachelors degree in Materials Science, Welding, Mechanical/Chemical Engineering; Masters preferred
  


• Technical understanding of stainless steel welding metallurgy
  


• Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  


• Strong organizational and time management skills
  


• Meticulous attention to detail
  


• Self-motivated
