Amuneal Manufacturing is seeking a Wood Sander to join our fast-paced, dedicated, and extremely talented team. Candidates should have a experience with using hand tools and working in a collaborative environment. They will be responsible for performing set-up and production operations on projects of a wide variety, while maintaining standards for safety & quality. This role will operate on a 4 day, 10 hour work week of 6:30AM-5:00PM Monday-Thursday.
Responsibilities:
Operation of various handheld wood sanding and surface preparation tools for extended periods.
Hand application of stains and oil based finishes.
Monitoring of product quality and ability perform minor surface repairs.
Collaborate closely with the spray booth team and the fabrication team in order to ensure the highest quality product and to meet project deadlines.
Work safely by adhering to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with wood surface preparation tools, including random orbital sanders and scrapers.
Strong understanding of different types of abrasives and the ability to achieve a finish-ready surface.
Keen attention to detail with the ability to identify imperfections and take corrective actions effectively.
Hands-on experience applying finishes such as stains, waxes, and oils to wood surfaces.
Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in meeting deadlines and maintaining consistent attendance.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with wood fabrication techniques.
Knowledge of spray finishing processes and equipment.
