X-Ray Tech II

JOB SUMMARY

The X-Ray Tech II will provide quality patient care and Customer Service.  They will radiograph each patient with speed, efficiency and compassion following FOI’s basic policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize collimation on every image and filtration when necessary.


• Follows all physician protocols.


• Creates and approves radiology exam in EMR.


• Obtains order from the PACs system worklist.


• Select appropriate exam in x-ray system.


• Prepares and positions patient for x-ray exam.


• Ability to work both independently and as a team-player.


• Must be flexible with schedule


• Document and maintain daily patient x-ray exams as required by the State of Florida rules and regulations.


• Maintain radiology injectables for special procedures.


• Assist new hires and students with acclimating to Department, protocols, EMR, PACS and


• Assist physicians with Special procedures.


• Order supplies and equipment, ensuring all is kept at a minimum par level.


• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.


• Maintain CPR, Florida License and ARRT License by adhering to CEU responsibilities.


• Complete Daily Totals Sheet.


• Perform all other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Current Florida License, Rad Technologist
