General Shale, Inc., the nation’s leading brick and masonry materials manufacturer, is seeking a Yard and Customer Service Associate to join our Kingsport, TN location. This position is ideal for a safety-focused, hands-on professional who enjoys working outdoors, operating heavy equipment, and providing excellent customer service and sales support in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Safely operate forklifts to load and unload trucks with brick and masonry materials

  
  


• 
  

  Stage, move, and organize product throughout the yard

  
  


• 
  

  Assist customers with product selection, pickup orders, and walk-in sales

  
  


• 
  

  Provide friendly, solution-oriented customer service to support sales growth

  
  


• 
  

  Process orders and assist with counter sales as needed

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain yard organization, cleanliness, and safe traffic flow

  
  


• 
  

  Perform routine equipment inspections and follow all safety procedures

  
  


• 
  

  Support inventory accuracy and cycle counts

  
  


• 
  

  Enter basic order and inventory information into SAP

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with dispatch and the sales team to ensure accurate and timely deliveries

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  2+ years of forklift operation and/or yard or warehouse experience preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Previous customer service or sales support experience preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification)

  
  


• 
  

  Basic computer skills; SAP experience a plus

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
