Job Overview

The Yard Porter performs a combination of tasks, including but not limited to efficiently and safely loading and unloading materials, cleaning shop, sweeping, washing equipment, equipment operation, shop maintenance, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop, yard, and work areas.


• Sweep, mop, pressure wash, and remove debris from workspaces.


• Empty garbage cans daily.


• Wash company vehicles, equipment, and machinery as needed.


• Maintain tools inventory. 


• Clean up any oil spills, drips, and any slipping hazards immediately on the premises.


• Operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment (If Certified).


• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Capability to operate forklifts.


• Basic computer knowledge to place orders and communicate through emails.


• Valid driver's license.


• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not mandatory.


• Strong attention to detail and safety-oriented mindset.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
