Zingerman's Deli Catering Sales Team Member

You are the front line of our catering sales office–talking to guests about our Catering menu and taking their orders, sending and processing invoices, and working with the rest of our Catering team to deliver the Zingerman’s Experience at celebrations and gatherings in Ann Arbor and all over Southeast Michigan! This position pays $18-$20/hour (with tips).  You’ll also get a free meal on each shift, a paid break, a staff discount at all Zingerman’s businesses, access to health insurance, a super discounted bus pass, and lots of other staff benefits. 

Compensation: $18-$20 per hour (includes tips)

• Full-time, 4-5 shifts per week
• Most shifts are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Available shifts include weekdays, weekends and holidays (Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day)

Performance Expectations - Essential Functions:

• Works with our guests to enter phone or online orders
• Assists guests with questions and helps plan their gatherings
• Calculates food portions to meet customers' needs
• Uses Catering software program to enter data for customer orders
• Communicates with multiple Deli departments to ensure accuracy on all orders
• Communicates with Zingerman’s Bakehouse to place accurate orders for Catering needs
• Communicates with the Catering Events team regarding Catering serviced events
• Performs various administrative tasks including processing payments and closing out credit card sales
• Has the ability to keep track of details and tasks needed for the successful delivery of catering orders

Physical Requirements

• Can lift and carry up to 20 pounds
• Can ascend and descend through multiple levels of the Deli building
