service role combines direct community outreach with a focused project to
improve volunteer onboarding, day-of training, resources, and systems.
What You’ll Do

homelessness and housing insecurity.
● Learn City Relief’s outreach operations, guest services, volunteer experience, and
community resource systems.
● Help evaluate and improve volunteer onboarding and day-of-training processes.
● Support the development of training materials, documentation, and the
Outreach Training Manual.
● Use tools such as Asana and City Relief systems to identify gaps and improve
coordination.
● Help create sustainable resources that can continue beyond your AmeriCorps
service term.
What We’re Looking For
You should be relational, organized, adaptable, and comfortable serving in both
administrative and hands-on outdoor outreach settings. Strong communication
skills, comfort learning digital tools, and a commitment to serving people with
dignity and compassion are important. Spanish/English bilingual skills are
welcomed but not required unless otherwise specified by the AmeriCorps program.
This role is an AmeriCorps Member placement hosted at City Relief and sponsored
by St. Paul’s CDC. It is distinct from City Relief staff employment, an internship, or a
traditional volunteer opportunity. AmeriCorps program eligibility, stipend,
education award, and enrollment requirements are administered through St. Paul’s
CDC.
Application Process
City Relief is the first step. Submit the brief City Relief application and résumé.
Candidates selected to move forward will have a pre-screen conversation with City
Relief.
Following a successful City Relief prescreen, candidates will interview with St. Paul’s
CDC AmeriCorps Coordinator for the formal AmeriCorps application, eligibility, and
enrollment process.
